Pink?? Why is this page pink?? Because I like pink damn it!! If only I could have a rainbow colored background...sigh. Right, where to start?? How about with The Town and Gown, the pub we normally go to. It's located in Cambridge on Pound Hill. The easiest way to get there is to walk through town from the bus station, down towards the river. Go over the bridge and turn left at the crossroads, it's about 200 yards up the road. Big white building, loads of queers hanging around, you really can't miss it. It's a nice pub, the drinks are reasonably priced and there is a disco every Friday and Saturday night. There's also a drag night on Wednesdays and I think there's a disco then too. Otherwise the back room is mostly full of dykes playing pool!! They have a function room available (the stable at the back) and if you want more info about that e-mail and I'll find out for you! This has to be one of the best pubs, we go there most weekends, the people are really friendly although usually there are way more men than women in there!! And then there's the 5 Bells, located on Newmarket Road. The easiest way to get there is walking from the Grafton Centre, head down towards Bowes and the KFC on the corner. From there go left, head towards the Rose and Crown (which is on the corner of the roundabout) the 5 Bells is just a couple of buildings down from there. I've never been and I don't know anyone that goes regularly, apparently they have themed nights (movie nights and stuff) but other than that...well, I just don't know. Mostly a lesbian oriented pub but you do get blokes in there. There's another pub called The Fluer De Lys, which is apparently gay friendly, although I don't know anyone that's been. From the outside it looks quite nice, it's up near the Grafton, on the road out of Cambridge opposite the Q8 garage. And I've heard a rumor that there's a pub called the Sugar Loaf in town, but I was told by one of my friends who I think was dropped on her head as a child!!! So I won't waste time walking around looking for it!! There's also a monthly club at the Junction, The Dot Cotton, last saturday of every month. It's getting a lot more mixed now but is still a fair amount of fun! Tickets are �6.50 advanced and �7.50 on the door. Doors open at ten and the club finishes at 3 (last admissions at 1am). They usually have a singer there every month (that's where I saw Steps!!!). There are a couple of different sections now and they've opened it up upstairs. The easiest way to get there is by taxi, I hate walking and it's quite a trek so I wouldn't reccomend people try. It's only a couple of quid to get a taxi from town or the T&G. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Hopefully I'll get some pictures of all of us up soon. I have some wonderfully embarrasing pictures of all my friends. So there'll be some of those and hopefully some stuff about us, I mean we *are* the best thing about the local scene!! But if you can't wait that long I'll tell you about them now!! Well let's see, Giuseppe is a babe, the textbook definition of a sexy gay lad. He's single at the moment so if anyone is interested.... Janice is single now as well, (finally!!!), her ideal woman is Ms. Parnell her old maths teacher but she likes Sharon Stone, Winona Ryder and Drew Barrymore as well. So if you look like any of the above let me know!!! Trust me, you'll love her as much as we do!! And then there's Allan, our very own loveable wanker. He's gorgeous, has a great body and is single but probably not for much longer. You go boy!! Good luck!! And then me, the raging dyke of the group. I'm single but come with a health warning!! Prolonged exposure can seriously harm your mental health!! But I'm a loevly person really!! (???)
